Good Friday

April 6th, 2012

In Honor of Good Friday…we wanted to share our new Good Friday traditions with you.  Remember this day with us…and be BLESSED

A little over a week ago, we made a “Hill of Calvary” – planting wheat berry seeds in dirt packed around a flower pot – our “tomb” for Jesus.

They sprouted and grew faster than we ever thought possible, making a “Haircut for Calvary” a necessity!

This morning we remembered that it was US and our sins that put Jesus on the Cross…He died on that cross for our sins, because of His amazing, undeserved LOVE for us…

“God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.” ~ 2 Corinthians 5:21

We wrapped his body in a “cloth”…

And laid Him in the tomb…

We sealed the tomb…

And we remember that He did all of this for Me…for Her…for You…

We remember, we experience the sorrow and remorse, yet…we know…

EASTER is COMING!

Death and Sin have no hold on the Lord of LIFE!

Romans 8:10-11 ~ “But if Christ is in you, then even though your body is subject to death because of sin, the Spirit gives life because of righteousness. And if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you.”

So beautifully done and understandable for all as you teach this to Boo. A beautifully pictured plan of salvation for all. So thankful – down on my knees thankful – for all you are teaching our Boo about our Amazing Savior, and that she wants to know and live for Jesus, too. I love you and that precious girl – my little angel from heaven grandgirl! Thanking God for the gift of His Son and salvation on this Good Friday – and thanking Him for your little family as well.
